In October 2019, nine students of the dual master’s programme Heritage and Memory Studies (University of Amsterdam) visited the cities of Trieste/Trst and Gorizia/Gorica to explore in what ways cultural heritage and memory have been affected by the shifting borders of this region, possibly leading to conflicting heritage discourses. Students conducted site analyses on various locations and spoke to local actors involved in the interpretation, preservation and presentation of the local past. On this website, you will find four group podcasts that the students produced as well as brief descriptions of their individual projects.
